QuestJS currently uses the pause symbol for the WAIT command on the compass rose, but I am starting to wonder if that makes sense. WAIT causes the player to pause, but conversely makes the world speed forward.

What do you think?

The pause button definitely threw me off the first time I saw it.

Using a fast-forward symbol makes more sense, but I don't know that it wouldn't be confusing, too.

I'll be darned if I can think of a symbol better than fast-forward, though. A clock would make me think of a TIME command. Zzz might make me think of a SLEEP command.

So, I'd vote for the fast-forward symbol, but only due to lack of better choices.

My first thought would have been a ⏱️stopwatch.

I would suggest an hourglass
