Dull Music

I want that when you wake up in a room you hear dull music. When you leafe the building you where in the music should become clearer. Is there anyway to do that?

You would have to use something like Audacity which has several different effects you can add to music, and then create two versions; one dull and the other clearer.

You could change volume easily within a program like audacity or acoustica, but you would have to know precisely when a player would leave the room. Not possible. The only option I can think of is having two similar (or exact) songs playing. Upload one that you've slightly muted, and upload a second that you've upped the volume on. When you leave the room, swap song files. I know it's not perfect and it will sound like the song started off/changed, but I cannot think of a way to change the volume mid song.

This is one of the features I love about Twine. The audio options are very deep. You can set volume, change volume, fade in, fade out, fade out over X seconds, mute, unmute... all with single line scripts.

And in any case, audio is broken in Quest because you can't have two tracks playing simultaneously. I've submitted a ticket to GitHub, but I still don't know if this is a bug, or just a weakness of Quest.

I thought so. Well I could script it so he would leave the building in a certain amount of time so I could do what XanMag said. But thanks anyway for the answer!
