I keep getting an "Sorry, there's been an error" message when I try to create new game.

Try making an html-based game and upload it. If NOT... you must've experienced an unknown bug of some sort. I think their servers do need more work done.

Does it give anything more informative?

If someone gets an error trying to create a Quest game, the most common reasons are:

• You can only create new games on the secure site (change the address from http:// to https://)
• The online editor might have crashed after being overloaded; if that happens, you'll need to try again later (either after a couple of minutes, or after someone posted on the "Site Announcements and Feedback" part of the forum if it needs an admin to manually restart it). That doesn't seem to be the case right now.

That's assuming that you are using the web editor. If it's the desktop editor, I don't know of any common problems, although I know that there is some weird behaviour if you don't run the editor as an administrator on Windows.

If none of those seem to apply, do you have a full error message you can show us?

I was able to download the Windows app and create one but the online version still dies after I name my game, select either "text adventure" or "game book", and the language. I just tried on a different computer with the same results.

This is the full error message: "Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request."
