Hi,

I'm creating a non-linear version of my PhD Thesis, and need to copy over my whole thesis (chapter/sections at a time) so that the examiners can navigate themeselves through the text. However, when I copy the text over, and try to edit or add text so that it matches the format, it just overtypes, removing the original text as I go along.

Is there any setting I need to know about that could turn this off? Or is this a bug?

I don't really have the time to type up my whole thesis again.

EDIT: I've closed and re-opened and it seems to have sorted itself. But I'm still concerned that this happens.

Have you tried making sure you've hit 'insert' on your keyboard? Does it over type in word?
