Game-wide error in opening containers.

I'm using the online editor (working off mac computers so it is my only choice). Things were running along nicely, thanks in part to this very helpful forum and the many knowledgeable contributors. Anyway, suddenly containers will not open anywhere in the game. In game mode, the text displays "You can't crack; open it" whenever the open command is selected. This applies even if a container is set to be open by default. It seems to apply to each and every container.

In the editor, each container I've gone through still has "open" and normal display messages and I can't figure out what happened. I did at one point I think try to add a "crack; open" verb to an object but I can't find that anywhere. I also can't figure out how to display all the code in a text editor since the game download doesn't seem openable on my mac.

Any help? I've tried going through my containers one by one but don't see anything awry. I also am not quite sure how if I did mess up a single container object how that crashed containers throughout. Any thing to look for?

On a somewhat related note, is there any way to sort (say alphabetically) objects / rooms in the online editor? Mine only displays by order created which may or may not have a logical order!

Sounds like you have added a new verb to do something else entirely; CRACK/OPEN. When you add a verb to an object, behind the scenes Quest also adds a verb object to the game. This can be hard to spot in the off-line editor, but is not even visible in the on-line editor, so you would never know. When the player types OPEN, this verb object takes precedence over the built-in OPEN command; quest notes there is no "crack" attribute to your container, and so spits out that error message.

Unfortunately, as verb objects are not visible in the on-line editor, your only option is to contact Alex and ask him to fix it too (might be worth linking to this thread when you do).
