Is there a way to change the color of the exit lines and player dot?

I am still very new to this site and so I don't know much yet but I am fairly confident that I have looked at every tab for a way to change these two things but I've had no luck in finding an option to do so. I also have not seen anyone in their own games change these two things and I am now starting to think it is not even possible.... Still, since I can't find a concrete answer to this in the forums or the tutorial sections I figured that I may as well ask.
First, the exit lines. The background for my game is black but unfortunately so are the lines that go between two rooms. Basically it blends in completely and in my opinion makes it harder to navigate the area even though the compass is right there. So is there a simple way to change the color of those lines? I adore the appearance of my game so far and, at this point in time, I would sooner scrap the map all together rather than change the background color.
Second, is player dot that represents which room you are in. Currently it is yellow but if possible I would change the color just because it stands out against the general color scheme that I have used so far. If it can be done, how?
I really should be keeping to simple, bare bone games since I am so new at this but I can't help it... I go big or I go home.
