A short list of very n00bish questions....

03 Oct 2005, 22:07hi everyone, I'm new at this so forgive me for the stupid(ish) questions...
1) I'm looking for software to create a text-based adventure game (duh) in which you don't type in commands as to what to do. Rather, some text will explain your situation and then you will be offered several options to choose from. For example:
You're in a dark room. What do you do?
- turn on the light
- run around bumping into things
- lie down and go to sleep
Is Quest capable of this?
2) Can Quest run in full screen mode?
3) Can Quest play "movies" (or animated GIFs, if need be) in full screen mode? Can these movies have sound?
thanks for putting up with me

You can do this 2 ways, use loads of menu's. Or use text-input (1, 2, 3, 4, etc).
Either way works.
2) Kind of. You can expand the program to Maximized.
3) I think it can play animated gif's now, but not sure.
I'd suggest you go to animated PNG's or something else though.
No 'real' movies. But it can play .wavs and .midi files.
