Why F12 instead of the up arrow...

... for repeating the previous command? Every other text adventure system I play games with uses the up arrow to repeat the previous command, yet Quest uses F12. Why? It makes playing a Quest game a pain after playing a game with any other system.

I agree, especially when other systems allow to repeat several previous commands. And the arrow up is quicker to reach than F12

Ive played a text and graphic online game once that used the F12... So I'm used to it.

But don't you think it would be easier if Quest used the same key as every other recognised system out there?

Then again, Quest seems pretty much dead in the water these days anyway so it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Heh, I use this piece of software at work, and it uses F12 for recalling the last command entered.

But it also uses the right control as a command enter, and isn't very user-friendly at all. It's meant for 'advanced' users per-say.

I'm currently in the process of installing it through wine, so hopefully it'll run and I can actually start doing stuff.
