I emailed you a couple of days ago but got this bounce message:

SMTP error from remote mailer after initial connection:
host mailin-03.mx.aol.com [64.12.138.120]: 554- (RTR:SC) The information presently available to AOL indicates
554- that this server has been repeatedly used to transmit unsolicited
554- bulk e-mail to AOL. Based on AOL's e-mail policies at
554- http://postmaster.info.aol.com/standards.html, AOL cannot accept
554- further e-mail transactions from this server for an extended
554- period of time. Please have your ISP/ASP contact AOL to resolve
55

I don't know why that should be since I was using the usual Freeserve SMTP server.

I emailed you again and didn't get a bounce message this time, but I'm still wondering whether you got the email, as another email from me mysteriously didn't reach you a few days ago.

Hi Alex...

It seems AOL has deemed your ISP as being a persistent SPAM generator!

I've received just one e-mail from you recently - the one in which you repeated what you'd told me about the 'Notes' button 'in an earlier e-mail' that I'd not received.

I've sent you several e-mails since then.

I have another e-mail address (Mon-Fri working hours only), perhaps if you cc anything you send to me to that as well as my 24/7 AOL address I might actually get replies through one or other service!

Cheers

Al
