Inputting health and money

18 Jan 2005, 00:55I am a little new to quest.I think it is very good considering that i was using quick basic to make my games.But there are a few things that i cannot figure out.And please dont answer them real confusingly,i am just a kid.
1.How do i input health?Cause i want to make battles and if you get hit your health is supposed to go down.I dont understand it.
2.How do i input money?Like if you buy something at a shop,how do i do that?
3.When you talk to someone in my game,he says,I cant believe i lost it.But after i give him what he wants he still says it when i speak to him again.How do i make it so the say something different?

18 Jan 2005, 03:45The answer to questions 1 and 2 can be resolved using status variables.
The answer to question 3 can be resolved by using a script in stead of a normal text answer in the object dialog box. Hope that helps.

19 Jan 2005, 17:49Just a thought, it would be a lot more helpful if you chose a more instructive word for for your subject. "Help!!!" doesn't tell us anything. "Inputting health and money" would enable us to know what you need help for (and people who don't know the answer won't have to look to find out what the question was!)

19 Jan 2005, 18:06Yes, it's always a good idea to use a meaningful subject. And reply to messages rather than creating new ones if you're following something up... I have edited both the "help" message subjects to have more useful titles.
