Hi,

I'm new to the Quest-Developer Software and to the forum. I spend a few hours with the program and it's fantastic and easy to use.
Here is my problem:
I want to write a Gamebook i want to use on my Kindle with the Gargoyle-Player via KUAL launcher:

Gargoyle-Player supports Quest-formats .asl and .cad. I suppose these are older formats of Quest Vers. 4.x or older.
Am i right? Is there any chance i can download an older Version of Quest that supports the .asl format?

Great thanks for your time and for this gorgeous program!

The .asl and .cas formats are created by Quest 4 and earlier versions. You can download Quest 4.1.5 at http://textadventures.co.uk/quest/desktop - click the "Previous Versions" button.

I'm not sure if Gargoyle will support even Quest 4 though - if it's using Geas I think that's from around the time of Quest 3, and even then I don't think it was 100% compatible.

If you really must use Gargoyle you'll probably have a much better time using something like Inform, to be honest.

Hey, great thanks for the reply.
The previous-versions button i must have overlooked. I'll test it.

Thanks, Zet
