Command Folders

19 Feb 2016, 07:25I'm currently making a text adventure game using Quest.
The problem I'm having, though, is I seem to have too many commands on my editing page. Like, the command list is too big to scroll through and I only know it's going to get worse as I continue to make the game. I was wondering if I could make folders to put commands in to separate them. Whenever I tried, however, the commands don't work in-game. Any solutions?
And thanks.

19 Feb 2016, 08:27Quest looks for commands in a specific place, so no, you cannot put them in folders (or objects).
If a command is for a specific room, you can put it inside that room, and it will only work for that room (this is why folders will not work, by the way).
I am wondering why you have so many. Are you aware that one command can match multiple input text?

You could look at using verbs instead.

19 Feb 2016, 09:06Thanks for the room tip. It worked.
^^' It's my first game made with Quest so I kind of made it strangely. I've basically tried to have all the responses work like a gamebook would, only using commands. But I've already been working on it for a while so I don't really want to change it.
