Save game error on web version

If I type save in the command bar and press enter it says:
Saving...
Failed to save game:Failed to save game

This happens no matter what game I'm trying to save that I've created. Some of the games are only a few objects. None of these games are published yet.

I can't find any recent explanations on how the save and load commands work for the current web version. I've tried this save command on multiple browsers on and iPhone 6+. Anyone know what this error means?

I know this isn't much help, but all I can tell you is that I've never had that error on any of my games - which suggests it's not a bug with the online player.

Someone with more knowledge than me will probably be able to shed more light on the issue.

Might be worth editing your post to say which OS and version of Quest you're using.

It seems to be a general problem with games created with the web editor (not games created with the desktop editor and uploaded). I tried it in one of mine, and I got the same error.

Sounds like a bug worth reporting.

Note: if I publish the game online and then run it, I can save from that published version. (If you go that route, just mark the game as Private so other can't see it until you are done with it and ready to make it Public.)

Thank you for the reply. I'll try the private published option.

I've only been working with Quest for a couple of days. I love this thing! I tinkered with making text adventures in c++ a few years back, but I couldn't do it on my phone. Plus, I was never very good with the c++. Now I can use the Puffin Browser on an iPhone and work/play the games from my phone. :D :D :D :D :D

Here is the response from Alex in the above issue. Basically, it's by design. Perhaps not what you would like to hear, but it makes sense.

The error message could certainly be more helpful, but note that it is by design that you cannot save while playing from the web editor, as you'd have no way of resuming the game. The only way of resuming games on the web is currently via the game listing page - when you play a game from the web editor, there's no game listing page yet.
