Online MUDS

Can Quest build multi-user dungeons for use on the internet? From what I have seen it looks like a single player MUD and was woundering if it could accomidate large numbers of players.

Also I would to know if their is room for custom codeing, for the creation of complex combat systems and character creation.

If anyone knows of any good tutorials on this software then please let me know as soon as possible.

Yes, there is QuestNet, which can be used for MUD's.
And again - yes, it can be used to create VERY customised battle systems.

There is one drawback though - there aren't any tutorials (well, perhaps one or two).

Thanks, I think I will be okay on my own. Its very user friendly. Compared to RM2k this should be a brezz.

not likely :) Good luck. Oh, and the interface isn't customisable, and you have to pay for QuestNet if you want more than 3 players :)

not now u don't, u get 30 users.

And RPG Maker 2k3 is easy to use once u learn how. it just takes time, but so does making a quest game.

007Bond says

 You only get 30 users if you have paid for Quest Pro. Quest Net Lite is still 3 users - unless the web site has got it wrong. :?

Of course, if you pay for Quest Net Pro you get 1000 users. :P

There is QuestNet Lite - 3 Players - Included with latest free Quest version
Quest Net Home Edition - 30 - Included with latest Quest PRO version
Quest Net Pro - 1000. I think this is a seperate Quest Net version that you have to order seperately.

I actually have Quest Net Home edition (or HAD). But i'm learning Visual Basic at the moment, and i'm a full time film maker, and part time musician so i don't really have time for much else.

i'm learning vb, as well as writing programs, and i'm a part time amateur musician, as well as juggling school work, and i do scouts, plus other things that i'm doing, but i still find time to listen to my music, burn cd's, go on msn, and a whole host of other things. You obviously need to prioritise things better.

Working every day to make films, spending time with somebody i love, being the drummer of an upcoming band, while learning VB and doing graphics for Mirage source people.... sure, I really have time for other things.

I wrote a big shitty article laughing at you but decided not to post it.

P.S. Insert generic "Ste is lying" joke here.

How can anyone actually love you?

007Bond belched

How can anyone actually love you?

Ste or Zelimos - whoever - didn't say anyone loved him, he said someone he loved.

I imagine the love is reciprocated or he wouldn't be spending time with that person but you really must be careful not to attribute to people what they have not said. Especially if you are going to be rude (or sarcastic, or ironic - whatever it was meant to be).

Okay this string has gone a little off topic, so I, of course, must jump in. Little 007Bond kid, Get. A. Life. Period. This guy is this little kid that tries to sound all smart alecky

and i do this and this and this and this and learn vb and go to kiddie sites on msn and a host of other sh**

but is probably some low I.Q. loser who hangs out in these kinda forums and puts people down to make himself look even smarter. End of story.
