[SOLVED]Error Updating Listing?

My game description for X2 will not update. I get the following message: "Sorry, something went wrong
An error occurred while processing your request."

For some reason, the old game description for my partially finished game remains attached to my new upload and I cannot change it. Also, all #of plays and #of downloads carried over to this game. Any ideas why? Or any ideas how to correct?

Will the game need to be deleted from the site and republished? Thanks.

Not sure it'll help but..

When I typically update, I save the published game to the "desktop" and then log-in, "edit this listing" first, update, and then go back and upload it over the old one. It should auto-update. Since your game is particularly huge, it might take your browser some time to upload it, especially if Quest is receiving a lot of traffic. Try restarting your browser, empty all the cookies, and then log back in during off-peak hours and see what happens :)

But the new upload SHOULD replace the old file. The plays will remain the same though.

The old file does get replaced. The game is new. But it will not allow me to update the game description. I open my game in the editor, copy the game description from there, paste it to the game description under edit this listing, and click update listing. It gives me that error message. I've tried uploading a new file multiple times and the description remains the same, although the cover picture changed. And... I don't want the previous stuff to remain, especially the unwarranted one-star rating. >=[

Thanks.

I would get it deleted, and then upload as new. I doubt you will be able to get rid of the rating otherwise.

Not being able to delete published games can create problems, certainly. Overwriting a game gives you no confidence that what you're playing is in fact the latest version (unless it's significantly different from the start to be immediately obvious).

I asked this on the forum only a day or so ago and Alex said he's been meaning to include the option, but for now to email him the links and he will do it manually.

If you're really done with your old versions, just get rid.

I did post in troubleshooting forum and contacted text adventures via the supplied link.

But in the meantime, I'm still getting that dumb update error... Grrrr.

I was using html stuff in my game description and Quest does not support that! Thanks Alex.
