Can't load any games on desktop version of Quest

01 Dec 2015, 10:36I can load the program, but whenever I try to load a game I get:
Error launching game: A procedure imported by 'CefSharp.Core.dll' could not be loaded
It might be worth nothing that I've not used this program since late December of last year, and when I decided to pick it up again yesterday, I downloaded the latest version of Quest.
When that failed to work probably, I presumed it was because I'm still on XP, so I uninsulated it and downloaded an older version.
Trouble is, I don't know what version I was using last December, but suspect this is the version I need, to get it to open my games successfully.

01 Dec 2015, 10:51Quest doesn't support XP.
I think v5.5.1 may work with it, but you're on your own - it's seriously time to upgrade your OS.

01 Dec 2015, 10:53My suspicions were correct. Some detective work on the Quest blog told me that the version I had last December was 5.5.1. I downloaded this and the game will now load and play properly from the program.
Once question remains, though. In that I am using a version three or four steps back, will there be any problems when publishing etc, in terms of my game not working properly?
You just beat me to it, Alex.
Upgrading isn't an option, unfortunately. As long as my uploaded games will work for others, I'm not really bothered.

01 Dec 2015, 10:57You should be fine, you can submit games made with any version, you don't have to use the latest.
In fact 5.6 isn't much different from 5.5 - the big change was to the version of Chromium that the desktop version embeds, rather than anything major to Quest itself.

Great stuff. Thanks.
