Also is there a way so when you type something it will be sent as a msg to everyone in the room so you dont have to sit there and click every user it shouldnt be a problem im going to make the commands all work with / in fount .... anyone know?

Try this ASL (I'm not a fan of slashes in front of commands by the way...):

command </who> for each object in game if property <#quest.thing#; netplayer> then msg <#@quest.thing#>

That should just print a straight list of players. Obviously you can make it more complicated and add fancy formatting if you like.

For players to type some text to say to everybody in the room, just put a quote character in front of it. This is covered in the Quest help file under Playing Games > Multi-Player Games.

When does the run-time error occur - when you load the game or when you type the command?

Are you putting the code all on one line?

Do you have the IRC-style option on in Quest? If you do then making the command "/who" means you'd have to type "//who" to get it to work - another reason I don't like forcing slashes at the beginning of commands.

Change the command to "who" and see if that works when you type "/who" when playing in Quest.

probably not, because quest will usually only accept it as one thing

people have been asking for that for ages. However, if ur talking about one in QuestNet, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Similar to IRC, where you have the different channels, and then you have the file servers hosted by people. You enter the server, and can chat there too. That wouldn't be a bad idea, and it would certainly encourage me to start using QuestNet. Another thing I would like to see is multiplayer games where you must work together in order to complete certain tasks. This obviously isn't Alex's job though, it's up to us developers to do that sort of thing!

Haha a chat room is so simple yet so needed the problem is the server connection limit thats whats holding down the questnet I mean I under stand you need to make some money in one way or another but 100 bucks... A little much for me I mean the few kids that would go around trying to play with this have enough of a time getting there moms and dads to pay for the program its self I dont mind how much it is its just way to much for me to pay and if I where going to spend 100 bucks I would hope it be unlimited amount of users :P after all three isnt much to work with.... I could see how it could be done but only three people to a room make a main server program then a room hosting program server file is main hub that links all the rooms into one and the server hosting the user would host and it link the chat by that still need a full time server though :P love your program to death alex and if I had the money I would by the 100 user server but im not Mr. money bags
