My graphic is barely showing

Brand new to Quest, so far happily excited by the program. But. . .

My text adventure hinges on being able to add one image to every room. This is unfortunate, because my image is only "sort of" showing. Above the text, I see a thin strip of the graphic with all the space above it remaining white. It is as if the image starts loading but doesn't complete itself.

I apologize: I am not able, at this time, to attach the game file to this post, as per the blanket request by the forum administration, so that you can better look into the problem I am having. My hope is that describing my problem will be enough.

I have added the image to the room object under ROOM/ROOM PICTURE. I have tried .png images and .jpeg images. I have tried shrinking the picture, just in case it was too large.

Aside "Room Picture," I see a thumbnail of my complete image, which is good, but when I run the game, I only get that same ol' thin strip of the graphic, and below that I get my complete text. Everything seems to be working except the visual that should appear above my story.

Just to show my diligence, I have searched the forum and the manual for an answer to this problem. No dice.

If anyone has something I can try, please let me know. Thanks!

Have you selected in the game setup to have a fixed window for images for every room?

Thank you, Silver. It's working now.

My next question is also about pictures. I load a picture with every room. One picture is a map, but the map details are too small to see. Therefore, I have told the Quest engine to add the map as an inventory item so that the player can pull it out and look at. However, looking at the map gives the same result: the picture shows up too small. Is there a way I can display an enlarged version of a picture, perhaps in a new window?

I do not have programming experience, so if anyone is willing to tackle this problem, I would appreciate a fairly detailed response, should it be necessary to type code. Sorry for that, and THANK YOU.

I think there is a way to bring up larger pictures. Probably involves some JavaScript so beyond my capabilities.
