Does anyone have an example "demo" "how to play" script they're happy to show?

Or is there a game that has a particularly spectacular good example of demos and how to plays? It's mainly that I have some very brand new people I'd like to show how to use a text adventure and having a short "This is how it works" would be great. Wanted to know if anyone else has done a really hand-holding game section (or full game)?

EDIT: After re-reading your post, I guess I am now wondering if you are asking on a simple tutorial on HOW TO PLAY a Text Adventure or HOW TO CREATE a Text Adventure. If it is the first, ignore the following!! If it is the second, I could probably churn out something fairly quickly on how to play a TA. Let me know! =)

This is a long work in progress and is definitely NOT perfect by any means, but...

Below is a link to a "game" that I often refer to in order to help me solve problems I run into while making a game myself. It's basically a compilation of little scenarios that are often asked about on the forums and solutions I have come up with to those problems. In any room you can type 'explain' or 'explain [specific object]' (in some cases) and it will explain how I did that using the downloaded version of the Quest program. THIS IS NOT HELPFUL for the online version. Again, this is not super user-friendly and needs an overhaul, but it does address how to do some of the stuff with Quest in a way that I understand it =)

And... to navigate, type 'move rooms' and you should get a list of options to choose from. Navigation is the big overhaul I need to make to this. Don't say I didn't warn you! =/

Best of luck! I am willing to help with specific scenarios if you are interested. I could whip up some demo scenarios for each instance you bring to my attention. If you are so interested pm me and I'll help out! Best of luck!
