So whilst making my game i added two exits (North and East) But when i test my game, and type "North" or any direction, it says "you can't go there" i know this is a stupid question but i started using text based games today

If you could post your game, it would help. I can think of several scenarios (the exit you created is in a different room from the one you're in, the exit doesn't go anywhere, etc), but without seeing, it's hard to be sure.

I'm not sure how you created your exits, but be sure you go to the room you want to exit from and select the Exits tab and create the exit there. If you just add an exit, it will be much harder to get it into the right room and hook it up. Plus you'd have to manually create the opposite exit as well. The Exits tab under the room is much easier to use. That's if you haven't already found that...
