Clothing Issues

07 Feb 2004, 19:56Okay, I have been trying to make a game with clothes. But I have a big problem. Whenever I try to wear a pair of underwear, or in that case anything, it says:
> wear underwear
underwear.....
On second thoughts you decide that the underwear won't suit a woman like you at all.
Why doesn't it function properly? I have the type of the underwear as "Undies". And I am sure that I have the q3ext library loaded. So why doesn't it work?

Which version have you got Jordan? It seems that the version from my website is still way out of date (a beta from 2002) rather than the last release (1.009, Sept 2003).
Obviously it is better to use the newest version
To clear up why you got the *error* you did (because it can still occur in the latest version) - this isn't / wasn't actually an error at all.
Typelib allows you to set clothes as being suitable only for females, only for males or unisex. You may also set the player as male or female. If you have clothes set as 'suitable for males only' and a player set to female, you will get exactly the message you encountered.

As my web page says...
THIS LIBRARY IS CONTINUALLY BEING IMPROVED - PLEASE E-MAIL ME IF YOU WANT THE LATEST VERSION.
or words to that effect
If you are wondering, I've not updated the website since the 'big foul up' because I cannot access it for uploading due to some strangeness in the service. I can still kill files, but I can't replace them. Wierd or what?
I've requested a new account name or re-enablement of my access - don't know if/when that will actually happen.
