Error 429
I think Im Dead
19 Jan 2004, 15:48So last night I ran a simple game(really only contains a clock) on QuestNet server to see what kind of uptime it could manage. I've come across this error a few times with more complex files when attempting the same kind of uptime test. Here are my notes/results...
Started QuestNet Server Pro Edition at 12:58:50 AM, saving every 1 minutes to save.qsg.
Save.qsg file size was 391 bytes.
A "Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object" occurred at some point between start and the save file's last modified time.
Save file's last modified/accessed times were both equal to 1:13:05 AM.
Save.qsg file size is now 0 bytes.
On attempt to load save.qsg recieved a "File format error: Invalid file!"
This sounds, just from the errors, like it's a problem with the save feature. For reference the asl file I used can be found at http://s88880570.onlinehome.us/asl/error429.asl

19 Jan 2004, 18:36Have you tried repeating the test - perhaps looking at it after 15 minutes or so and seeing what happens...
Perhaps even taking a save-file before Quest crashes and then sending THAT file (which would be heaps more useful I guess).
