Strange replies

07 Jun 2012, 18:34Hi all sorry to bother you again but I've come across an unusual phenomenon. I've changed my (Unresolved Object) reply to say "sorry say again". But now it comes up with "sorry say again" ( then what ever has been written )
For example
>Climb tree
sorry say again (climb tree)
or
>hit tree
sorry say again (hit tree)
does anyone know how to get rid of the brackets and the words within.
I really hope this makes sense to someone. Thanks Terry

08 Jun 2012, 12:37Thanks Alex I've upload it on the original post. The strangest thing is that I have 2 other copies at different stages of the game and it is happening to those as well. It can also happen if someone misspells something as well? example
>climb ree (instead of climb tree) but then it replies "sorry say again" (ree).
Thanks Terry.

>climb ree (instead of climb tree) but then it replies "sorry say again" (ree).
Thanks Terry.

The unresolved object is always added to the template in brackets . You could change it in CoreParser.aslx in the function 'UnresolvedCommand'

09 Jun 2012, 18:47ABSOLUTELY BLOOMING FANTASTIC bless you, I have started a couple of games thinking it was something I had put in somewhere in the game. Now I can crack on regardless . Once again millions of thanks

11 Jun 2012, 11:29The object name should only appear in brackets if you've specified multiple objects - maybe something has changed this recently, in which case I would say that's a bug.

13 Jun 2012, 05:33Hi Alex its a single verb noun command eg. Climb tree. But I've sorted it now thanks to Pertex so its onwards and upwards.
And thanks to all who have helped me without this forum I dare say a lot of us would not have been able to do these games. Once again many thanks to all. Terry
