Session has timed out

Does this happen to anyone else where there's a built-in time limit to the game? People keep complaining that they get a message saying "session has timed out" when they play my game but I haven't seen it happen with other games. It seems like this can be avoided if you register a textadventures account and log in before you play but I'm not sure if that's accurate. Anyone know what's up?

I have an account and a few games i played did that. I got so frustrated and quit the game because I had to restart.

If you are playing on line, and make no moves for a while ( bathroom break, lunch, phone call?) the game will time out.

Yes, it will timeout if playing on-line and you do not do anything for a while (20 or 30 minutes?). If you are logged in, you can save before you take that bath, but it will still timeout. It is a feature of the web site, and not anything we as game creators can change, and is necessary to keep the total number of sessions on the web player manageable.

It will also cut out if the connection drops for even a moment, it seems. The online player also fumbles during heavier scripts, quite often... it's best to keep things offline, if at all possible.

Ah ok, good to know. Thanks for the clarification!
