31 Aug 2011, 00:42First, congratulations on getting to a release. I'm sure it feels great.
So my first post and first question. Is there an easy way to implement conversation trees? I was searching through the documentation and forums and could not find anything.
Thanks

31 Aug 2011, 08:18There is no built-in conversation tree functionality at the moment, so you would have to create this yourself. It might be a good idea for someone to create as a library.
I'm happy to take suggestions for how the feature should work.

I suppose a nearly ideal version would work similar to the NWN2 toolset version, but I'm guessing that would be a lot of work
I'll see. In hindsight I'm wondering if Quest 5 allows for more natural flowing conversations without the guesswork of normal IF. Experimentation time!

Yeah, sorry. I always hate when people use abbreviations without explanation, then I did it. It is Neverwinter Nights 2.

It's just a conversation tree. The Neverwinter Nights 2 thing I mentioned above was the way the toolset lets you build conversations, it's not a different style of conversations. The toolset's conversation editor is powerful and fairly easy to use.
I apologize for taking my own thread off track. I'll try to be more specific and give better explanations in the future.
