Containers not containing

23 Aug 2011, 13:54Everything works splendidly and I'm quite pleased with Quest! Only one bump in the road so far: I cannot get a container to contain anything. I've followed the directions in the tutorial explicitly...and it doesn't seem to work. The selected objects do not appear in the selected container...even when I do precisely the very same example used in the tutorial.

23 Aug 2011, 14:10Make sure the container is marked as "Container" on the container tab.
If you attach your game .asl file here (click reply, then use "Upload attachment" tab under the submit/preview/save draft buttons) then we can take a look.

23 Aug 2011, 16:11Here is one version.
In the kitchen I would like the three contents of the refrigerator (the eggs, beer and bologna) to be contained within it.
In the bedroom I would like to have two items (the book and gun) sitting on the surface of the night stand (I would rather have them contained in a drawer, but I gave up trying to create a container called "drawer" that would contain anything at all).
Ideally, I would like to have none of the contents of these objects visible until someone opens or looks at the containers.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Actually, I should have said that the feature works erratically. Occasionally, objects do appear within a container and are listed in the game properly. But this has occurred only a couple of times. For the most part, I cannot get objects that are attached to a container to appear within it.

I'll give that a shot...but I had only added my own "open" verb after everything else had failed...
I'll let you know what happens...
Thanks!

23 Aug 2011, 17:22There are no extraneous "open" verbs in this version. At least none that are visible to me.
