Help with modifying look commands

I have followed the tutorial several times on how to change look commands after doing things like turning on a phone or turning off a TV. I follow what they say to a tee, yet when I turn on the object and then try to look at it again, the response is the same as it was before I turned on the object. I am a beginner to Quest and I really like the program, but this one bug is bothering me quite a bit. I appreciate any help I can get.

Could you attach your .asl game file? I'll take a look and see where things are going wrong. (Use the "Upload attachment" tab under the reply box)

I can't seem to find my game. Only when I open quest and load a game is it there. I hate being such a novice to this sort of thing, and I don't want to be a bother.

It will probably be in your "My Documents" folder.

I think you could simply make 2 objects. I´ll give you an example:

You need to find a clue to open the safe. When you've got the clue, the safe should display a different message because you know more now. So I've created safe1 and safe2. Safe1 is the one without the clue and as soon as you find the clue, the first safe is hidden and the second one will appear. Give them the same player alias and they can't see the safe has changed without interacting.

I hope this helps :)
