Compiler/Packager

24 May 2011, 21:12Hi chaps,
Hope you don't mind a fairly dumb troubleshooting question. I'm very eager to be able to produce exe files of the games I make in Quest, so the first thing I did, after downloading, was test the packager and the compiler on one of the example games. Unfortunately, both seem to very quickly crash. The bar goes about a quarter of the way and then the programme stops responding. Is this perhaps some in-built copy protection on the example games? I've just been trying it on 'Assassin'.
I'm using Windows 7 and I believe I downloaded version 4.1.5.
Thanks a bunch if you can help!
Jon

Error 7 - Out of memory
in Common.OpenGame

25 May 2011, 08:44It compiles to CAS fine in the Compiler, but when I use Packager to create an EXE I'm getting the same problem. Strange.
"Assassin" is a game for an older Quest version though, but I'll have a look to see why it breaks in case that would affect newer games too.
I was able to create a package for a small test game without any problems though, so it's not a problem with all games.
