Why do you make the fifth one cost money? I know its really powerful but only a few people like me play text games or make them.

Quest used to be paid software, but the 5th incarnation is both free and open-source. Alex has also released the full version of Quest 4.1.4 as freeware, although the source code will not be released for earlier versions.
