29 Oct 2010, 13:37Hi re the scripts
first of all i am running the latest version of quest 4.1.2
I am following the tutorial to the letter for the House game,
i want to run a script for the look Message and Watch Message.
This is what i do,
click run a script
double click "Modify"
select "Property"
click room drop down list
select "TV"
in the property data box type in
Look=The Tv is an old model possibly 20 years old,
it is currently switched off.
Click OK
when i go to the game and type
look at tv
it comes back with
look at tv
and i get the same reply with the "watch script"
watch tv
What am i doing wrong?
Thanks Paul.

29 Oct 2010, 23:43Are you setting up the scripts for the correct verb?
That script looks like it should go in the TV's "switch off" verb.
Then when you switch off the TV, its description will be changed. Do you have an initial "look" description set up for the TV?
If you attach your ASL file to this forum post I can take a look to see exactly what's happening.
