Quest 4.1.2 is now available.

This release improves the performance of large games. It also fixes the following bugs:

- A run-time error could occur when typing "put on" if that command did not exist.
- Locked exits weren't working in packaged games.
- Some container-related messages were not present in the LDF file.

If the JAWS screen-reader is running, QDK now shows the old-style menus and toolbars as these are easier for the screen-reader to work with. In addition there is a new "Go To" menu for JAWS users which makes it easier to select items from the Treeview.

Quest Pro users can download the update from http://www.axeuk.com/mydownloads
Non-Pro users can download the update from http://www.axeuk.com/quest/quest412.exe

I need help, please.
I had forgotten my password, so I got a new one and logged in with it, but the download page still tells me that I entered the wrong username or password. But they both work for the forum, and when I tried to reset my password again, the site told me that I already did that. Why doesn't it work for me?
-Oh, and I forgot: I didn't notice at first, but I accidentally downloaded the light version of 412 and installed it, mistaking it for the pro version. Now QDK pro doesn't seem to work anymore at all, not even the older version. It says "Error 13 - Type mismatch in frmMain.ResetInformation", and in a second message: "Error 35601 - Element not found in frmMain.Form_Load". What's that all about?

The downloads area is separate to the forum - to get a password reminder for the downloads area, use the "Forgot your password?" link at http://www.axeuk.com/mydownloads

It sounds like you installed the free trial version to a separate folder to your Pro version. This will have registered the free trial install location for the QDK components, which is why you're now getting errors when you try to use your older Pro version. When you reinstall Quest Pro, it will reregister itself so it should work properly. (You can't install different versions of Quest 4.1.x on the same machine)
