Hello I'm going through the tutorial right now and I plan on buying Pro as soon as I finish. I have a few questions about Quests' capabilities. Does it support any type of video files? If not then can I have animated GIF's and sound files play at the same time? And is there any way to integrate it into your website so it can be played your visitors?

Thanks for any information you can give me.

Video files aren't supported yet, although it's on my "to do" list for a future version - possibly the next version.

You can play animated GIFs though, and they can play at the same time as sound files - just put them in the same script. There is a "Show an animated GIF" command in the "Pictures & Sounds" category.

There's no way of integrating a game into a website yet, but you can link to the "Play online" feature when you upload a game to www.textadventures.co.uk. I'll be adding a way of embedding games in other websites at some point, but in the meantime you could probably do it via an <IFRAME> tag.

The frames idea sounds great. I'm nearing the end of the tutorial now. Is it possible to make a link in quest to a website?

You can't directly make a link in Quest 4.1, though I will be moving Quest to a more HTML-based system in the future, which will allow you to have links.

I have been talking about doing this for years but I'm finally starting to implement it - so this may appear in Quest 4.2 (or perhaps the version after)

That's good news, Alex! Please keep us posted on the progress.
