Missing .dll

I installed an older version of quest 3.53, and it installed fine, but, when I tried to run it, it said there was a missing .dll file. "MSVBVM50.DLL" to be exact. Does anyone know a way to fix the problem... other then downloading the newer version?

The Quest 3.53 setup doesn't include this required file - but you can download it from: http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... vbvm50.exe

Thanks Alex, but, now I get a runtime "6" error when I try to open an existing game asl :(

What game? Is it one from textadventures.co.uk (if so, which one? Is it designed for v3.x?)

If not do you get the same error in v4?

Error 6 is an "overflow" error which either means something is too big, or something caused it to get stuck in an infinite loop.

ah, no, its one I created myself. I think I know how I can fix it though. I was using the newer ver. of Quest, and didn't like it. That's why I wanted to down grade. I can just recreate the game, and make the working changes.

What makes you prefer v3.53 to 4.0 or 4.1??
