30 Aug 2008, 12:09Hi,
New to this thing and need a little help. I have read through this forum to try to find an answer to my question(s). Either I REALLY don't know what I am doing or just don't know how to read. I am trying to do some things and can't seem to make it work.
I want to create a room. Have a rug on the floor. MOVE the rug to reveal a hatch (unseen before I move rug). OPEN (and close) hatch to move to the next room.
From the next room, CLOSE (and open) hatch before I can move back to the original room.
Any help (the more precise the better) would be greatly appreciated.
Bill

31 Aug 2008, 12:03Hey.
After a while and many tries I have figured it out (most of it). Clever huh?
What I can't seem to do is add the verb MOVE. I seem to set things up correctly but I keep getting the response "You can't move that" ??/
Any hints
Thanks Bill

31 Aug 2008, 18:18Check you aren't using capital letters when setting up your verb - there's a known bug (which will be fixed in the next version).
If that doesn't help, please post your game file here and I'll take a look (you can use the "Upload attachment" tab when replying)

02 Sept 2008, 13:09Hey thanks for the reply - I'm happy to report that I did in fact use a "cap"Move for the verb. I deleted it created another and Voila - It works. All the questions in my origianl post have been taken care of.
