15 Jul 2008, 10:05A, you the startscript to 'give' the objects to the player when the game starts. (Click game on the left, the 'when game starts' should be staring at you, click the edit script button.)
B, edit room's 'when player enters room' script, you'll find a 'pictures and sounds' section in the commands', open that, pick the sound thing you want.... Should be obvious.
You could've found this out yourself with a few minutes of looking around...

Use*
And Elex is right. Instead of asking "noob" questions, read the tutorial provided with QDK. (In QDK, Help > Tutorial)

15 Jul 2008, 11:12Whoops, there's my dyslexia acting up again. 'use' and 'yous' sound the same and my brain sometimes mixes them up.
Yes, read the help first.

15 Jul 2008, 20:51Thanatos... just curious, it seems you are following Elex around and repeating what she's saying in so many words. Are you trying to get on her good side?

15 Jul 2008, 21:36I think Thanatos has developed a kind of sheep mentality and will follow whoever happens to post first and then will pretty much repeat what they say to get in their good books. Maybe he hopes that some of their wisdom will rub off on him so he appears wise and wonderful and not like the juvenile delinquent he really is. He used to agree with everything I said, but then I must have failed to live up to his superior standards* so he switched to Elex instead. Believe me, she's welcome to him.
* Spelling grammar without an E probably did that for me. Darn.

16 Jul 2008, 03:23Whelp, I'm not going to respond to David as it will just spiral into a long pointless argument over nothing.
Steve, I wasn't aware I was. Is it illegal to reply to one's post?

16 Jul 2008, 13:12Illegal? Obviously not. I didn't say that either. I was just wondering why it seemed you were basically repeating what Elex was saying. No big deal.

18 Apr 2009, 00:19Thanatos is a friend of Elle's outside this forum - so I extrapolate that he's just being a bit hyper on the 'friend' front.
The questions asked were valid - they obviously don't know Quest, and the best way to understand ANYTHING is to ask questions.
I hope Elle's answers have solved any problems for you Rendez
