04 Oct 2006, 22:08I'm planning to release Quest 4.0 Beta 1 in a week or so, but until then I thought I'd give you a quick look at what's coming...

As you can see the properties windows all now appear within one main window, with a treeview on the left hand side. Here's a view of the Game Properties of the game "Burglary" in the Games Archive. If you look in the Status Bar at the bottom, you'll see another nice feature of QDK 4.0 in action:

Setting up an object:

Setting up a room:

And finally, here's the Script Editor. It (currently) looks pretty similar to QDK 3.x, but with the important difference that you don't have to pop up a new window for each command. This is something I hope should save a bit of wear on your mouse buttons!

I'll be posting information on obtaining the beta to this forum as soon as it is available.

06 Oct 2006, 04:24Very professional, very nice and easy layout.
The only thing I dislike is the very first screenshot. Something about that HTML-looking page that doesn't look right.
I noticed the new additions to the menu... ooo, can't wait to press some of those buttons
Otherwise, good job!
