and for some odd reason you don't want to host it here, I'd like to recommend orcs.biz. They're a linux server, they charge almost nothing, and its a very fast connection.

And how do you host your game there?

Hey, looks interesting!

Anyone signed up with these. I'm thinking of trying the $12 deal just to try it out. You get a ubuntu shell right?

Yes, it's a ubuntu shell.

I'm hosting with them, working on a mud there.

Pertex, you'd have to download the stuff you need to run your games on your own server, and get it to run on linux. The admin is very helpful and could probably get you going.

As part of taking over Quest, I have been getting Quest source code to run on my PC, and it is not trivial. Getting it to run on Linux should be possible in theory, but you would need to get a version of .NET for Linux (it is Windows based, but there are versions out there). Then you have to workout how to get that working on a server (and some of the code is orientated specifically towards Azure). I would love to have Quest running on Linux (and Mac), so let us know how it goes and how you did it

well, it's Ubuntu linux, and I'm not sure but guessing that there's a .net version for it since so many people run Ubuntu on windows machines. Might start, Pixie, with researching Ubuntu to see what's actually available for it.
