Coming back here for the 1st time in a long while, I was looking through the archive and saw all the comments in the MagicSword review. I did a fix for it ages ago, but didn't put it in the archive. It's old stuff now, but Alex could you update it anyway if I sent you the file?

Hi Compu + everyone!

Sure, just email it to me (or upload it in the normal way) and I'll update the file for you.

Hey, you gonna be popping in more these days or what?

I'm still hoping for a MS Part 2!!
See you around...

Umm I might be around more, but you won't be seing a MS P2 release :(

The source and various accompanying librarys havn't been touched in over a year as after experimenting with it I've moved over to coding visual games in Flash :?

My best asl betrayal game demo can be found here if you're interested.

That's a great shame....
IMO the best Quest game RPG has been shortened to only a beginning!!!

Ahhh well, have you got any flash sites, or preview pages around?

I agree, it is a great shame indeed, but I can't turn back :(

Best? I'm

As for a preview game click the here in the post above yours! That links to my latest demo, Alterna, but if you click the below link you can see the 2 Flash games that led up to it . http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/trifire/Games.html

The Alterna demo could be said to have the spirit of MS in it, I certainly adapted parts of the P2 battle system for it.

So what about you, have you released any games since I was last here? I've seen mentions of your asl editor, perhaps I should download it to take a look-see.

Gah! I meant to post the previous under new registered username, but forgot to log in, and ignored the box saying name.

Well I tried your link to the 2 games - but that didn't work.
And I tried your Alterna link and waited for around 20 minutes for it to load (some modem problems!!), then I saw the:
"Damn this waiting time, give me the music-less version!" link at the bottom of the page after it had loaded

And now THAT seems it doesn't work!!!

I have only had a quick look at it but it looks nice!!

No I haven't come up with any games yet - basically because I can't be bothered :P  .
I'll probably get around to one later though... After I learn DX8 with VB6, stuff like that...

Damn, you're right, some shoddy linkage in both cases there

I'm changing it to work via a program now so I can implement a save system. Then it will just be a straight downloadable exe file with the ability to play .midis as opposed to fat MP3s, as opposed to the current streaming waiting for hours to load type stuff.

OK more basic games link here http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/trifire/games.html

hopefully...

Awwww screw it!
I'll create a game... 8)
It'll only be a short thing, with a developed battle system!
But that'll have the battle system I'll use in my full "Chronicles Of Wehn"...

Oh, and your link there DOES work - but the links on that page don't! :?

!"£$%^&*( !!!

...since when's Angelfire been so picky about capitalisation?! It all used to work!

Anyway, go for it Compu! It's all about the battle system really, any storyline is just an added bonus :)

That philosophy fits Alterna anyway
