IFComp 2004

Anyone entering?

HA-HA! :P

.... Erm, I wish I could, but unfortunately - no game = no entry.

I was going to enter The Shadow Project, but since my switch to linux it's no longer possible. I halted the project :(

Do you think a Who Wants to be a Millionaire clone would stand a chance?

It'd be in with a good chance of last place if that's what you're asking.

Actually, you might not even be allowed to enter a game like that. I haven't glanced at the rules recently but I'm sure there's something in them about games being original works, i.e. not copied off a quiz show.

Thanks, i'll go and search around for the rules. It was just my first game I'm developing and some feedback would be great. Unfortunately development is coming along slowly, so it might be a while before you see the game in games list.

I've just been to the IF Comp website and had a bit of a read of the rules. I can't enter my Millionaire game due to a copyright rule unfortunately. But that's not going to stop me finishing it and posting it on this website. I'll try and release a test version that goes up to 32,000 dollars soon so that users can try it out and give me feedback.

What is the website and when is the closing date?

Authors have to announce their intent to enter by the 1st September and games are uploaded by the 30th September. So a while yet if you plan to enter.
