28 Nov 2003, 00:32the help file is already greatly explanitary with fill detail and instructions on how to use code, and where.
I always suggest starting off with QDK, and anybody who finds it difficult to work out QDK needs brain therapy

28 Nov 2003, 11:39Well - I agree with Ste that the help file is pretty good.
An ASL 3.x tutorial is basically "Learn BASIC".... Since it really is only a slight leap from BASIC...
It should become easier the more you code.

I did this for Quest 2.1x a LONG time ago, but have never quite got around to finishing off an upgrade to reflect the changes in ASL introduced with Quest 3.5.
You don't need to understand any BASIC to program Quest ASL, though if you do know a recent version of BASIC it makes using Quest ASL a doddle. I'm no longer convinced that casual users are even interested in coding manually, even though it is still the best way to get good results from Quest.

29 Nov 2003, 19:17if you want to learn BASIC, there are a whole heap of QBasic programs avaliable for download @ http://www.qbasic.com
You then need to get a copy of QBasic to run these. Look around on your Widnows CD or I can email you a copy
