Dead

My uncle passed into the void this weekend, but he was so off his face the docters say he didn't even know. Now I know what it feels like to lose a loved one. Just thought you all should know.

There there, Thanatos. Though death may be a saddening experience, one must realise that all things must eventually end. I'm sure he had a good life. Treasure your memories of him, for if you keep him in your heart, he will never truly be dead.

I don't really try to make any big sayings on death - everyone grieves in their own way.
Saying to remember them, or anything like that, isn't usually very good.

My brother dedicates one day a week to his dead best mate - the day he discovered him in the flat.
He drinks whiskey in memory of his friend every Wednesday - it works for him dedicating one afternoon a week.

Personally, I try to live on - maybe think of what they and your would like to happen (ie, I wouldn't want anyone thinking of me too much after death).

Sorry to hear about your loss though (although I am unable to relate).

Nope.
Actually I don't think I would be missed - but that's how I've chosen to live my life.

Hope you and your family feel better soon.

You'd be missed whether you like it or not.

But thanks.

Nah you wouldn't.

You'd just find yourself thinking after a month or two: "hmm, I wonder what's happened to Paul..." *munches on sandwich*
