The old forum

This would be a question for Alex: would you happen to have kept a working mirror of the old forum?

I know in the old website there used to be a link to the old forums, but if it's still around is another story

The old forums don't work properly as there's no option for viewing old threads, but I've generated the following pages which list all the topics:

http://www.axeuk.com/ubb/oldthreads1.htm
http://www.axeuk.com/ubb/oldthreads2.htm
http://www.axeuk.com/ubb/oldthreads3.htm

The even older forums, dating back to 1998, still appear to be online:

wow... Gwerradon, Gautier UK, 0 Ste 0, Evelsvia, Xlithan, are all me. Wow, I really do change my name like I change my.... socks :D

I also remember being sent a very old unreleased copy of Quest one time. It was really strange...

I've been Pikaflare, Maxpowr, and S1aY3R.

I use codingmasters and 007bond simultaneously, but 007bond is first preference.

What was the old forum (the 3 old threads)
Powered by?
This forum is Powered by phpBB wich is an abbreviation of PHP Bulletin Board

Who is 'I think I'm Back', is it the same person as 'I think I'm dead'?

How come I can understand computer systems better than anyone I know?

Because you're a complete nerd?

Because we missed out on that online sale they had a few years ago - "Normal Lives - $699 ea.!" Although, I guess you'd be using pounds sterling :(

I give up :|

We were too busy with our computers when they were handing them out in the streets... Oh well... When computer's take over the world we'll be like their priests (if they were equivalent of god), and that'll make us just below them, so most power a human can have... Hmm, sounds like a good game idea. Mine, no-one steal it!

You obviously haven't read the Butlerian Jihad.

What's it about?

If it doesn't describe quantum mechanics or go into the best cases for using polymorphism, then I'm sure we 'geeks' don't need to read it ;) .

... and my 'life' was faulty. I tried to swap it for a new one but they said I couldn't :( .

What you got to do is metaphorically make a deal with the devil.... and by metaphorically I mean get your coat....

Trade you soul for something you really want. I'm sure he can't let you be a geek and still have all the girls (/boys, your preference) chasing after you... There are limits!

Oh and, yeah quantum mechanics.... You know what they say: if you think you understand quantum mechanics, they you don't understand quantum mechanics. :P

Is that what they say? Then when do you actually know quantum mechanics? :P

When you reach apotheosis.

Yes, you can be a geek and have girls after you.

Hell, I could do it if I actually put some effort in and went out to clubs.
- I'm not that type of bloke though.

.. and you know more than most my sexuality damn you!!

I'm messing! You know as well as I do how fit and smexy you are... heck I'd go out with you... sure others would too...

We may have 'geeky' lives but sucicide is no option!

You need Therapy.
The kind where they make you lie on those leather couches and bring out your traumatic childhood.

Where did suicide come into this? Anyway Tr0n/Paul_One and I have good friends for a very long time...

I.. I just felt like.. contributing to the... uh... Meh forget me >_>

*Sits in teh corner*

No, not sly. Completely innocent really. She said she enjoys helping people so I picked some goofy task to ask for help

I won't even go there, or I'll be banned for indecency *coughs*

The Butlerian Jihad is part of the Dune Saga, originally began by Frank Herbert, but continued by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. It does contain both polymorphism and quantum mechanics, in the form of the Tlielaxu Face Dancers and Guild navigators, respectively. Kind of ironic.
