28 May 2006, 13:14Greetings Quest users and fans! I recently downloaded the trial version of Quest and I am trying a go at creating a game. I am not new to this type of program, as I have used AGT Big (another scripting language) in the past. I must say the GUI interface makes things much easier
When I have some at least halfway decent games going, I'll be sure to upload them, so I can hopefully get some folks to tell me how I'm doing.
See you all in the forums

30 May 2006, 07:34Welcome Balerod! I'm Elex, and only been here, what is it 2... 3... years now. The quest system is great in my opinion, very flexible. And yes, the GUI is prolly the best out there, though when you get the the upper cut of quest's powers it becomes easier to code by hand; window after window can become slow and dull.
Anyway if you need any help, you ask. I know a lot about ASL, both GUI and hand coding, though currently I prefer hand-coding. Tron also knows a lot, only slightly more than me . He's very good and helps me sometimes, as I can be a bit of a noob still.
I hope you have fun here, and find quest to be awesome!
