Quest Review in Competition

I know my game sucks but what do you think about this review regarding quest?:
"This game is written in Quest, which is a system I find clumsy and counter-intuitive. I seem to get by fine in this game without typing anything, -it has hyperlinks and drop down menus, which I always find neat – but everything seems unnecessarily doubled here. Exits are mentioned, yet there is a compass rose which highlights available exits. The room description shows interactive objects as hyperlinks, yet there is a seperate list."

11 Oct 2012, 10:40The sad thing is that these are things athat are optional in Quest. You can turn off the exit listing, the compass rose, the hyperlinks if you want, so to complain that Quest is clumsy because they are all there is wrong. Unfortunately this is the impression people have of the system, and they do not bother to actually look any further.

11 Oct 2012, 10:45I think it's very much a minority opinion, and it doesn't make any sense - there is often more than one way of doing something in any UI, so I disagree that the defaults are clumsy in any way.
For example, you can close a program by pressing Alt+F4, clicking File then Exit, or pressing the "X" button in the top right of the screen. This is something that nobody finds confusing.

You would prefer a system that does not give you the choice? Personally, I do not like the hyperlinks in the text. so I turn them off. It is only one click, so not too onerous. I thnk it is good that Quest gives you the option to do that.
